HOME Equipment Investigations Stories Store About Picture Gallery News Paranormal Symposium Paranormal Links InvestigationsOut In The FieldOne of the sites we investigated over a four-year period was at a place known to locals as Fort San or the San, a Tuberculosis (TB) Sanatorium. The San was like a small village in its day, holding the main hospital and pavilions, but also staff housing, powerhouse, agriculture, theatre, school, and much more, it was a self-sufficient entity. The san ran as the TB hospital from 1917 to 1972, during the time before antibiotics hundreds of people died there each year. Tuberculosis was dubbed “The White Plaque” and was an epidemic, thus the reason for sanatoriums. This particular san is located outside the small resort town of Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, Canada. Once the San closed in 1972, it was reopened as the Summer School of the Arts, after that the Echo Valley Conference Centre as well as a summer camp for Sea cadets, until it closed its doors permanently in September 2004. Through out all those years many people experienced paranormal events there. From our many investigations of the san, we have hours of video footage some of which contain orbs, EVPs and an apparition in the shape of a woman, whom we believe to be a nurse. There are many stories of paranormal events that happened to people who stayed at the complex. Some of the stories are the same except to different people over years. Most common events are sightings of the “Blue Man”, “Nurse Jane”, and the little girl who runs up and down the halls of the Children's Ward in the middle of the night. We have produced a documentary of our footage and interviews from people that had paranormal experiences happen to them at the san. [ Spirits of the San - A Documentary of the Paranormal] In March of 2005 we participated in a ghost hunt at Fort San for a TV series called “Beyond”, produced by Steven Rumbelow of Renegade Motion Pictures. The investigation lasted approximately 12 hours. We split into four different groups and went to various locations throughout the vacant complex. During this investigation we encountered ectoplasm, evps, orbs, and an angel. It seemed the ghosts were desperate for company as we encountered as much and more in that one night then we had on single investigations in the past. One of our crew was grabbed around the neck by unseen hands in the morgue crawl space, was the undertaker trying to remove her body from the space? Another member saw a bent figure walk in front of the camera. The sound of a sewing machine in another area got the attention of three investigators while they were filming orbs in the main complex, close to the laundry and sewing rooms. While that was going on, another group encountered what they believed to be an angel; 7 people including three psychics saw the wings. Another group heard sounds that they could not make out, but later when they watched the footage it proved to be EVPs. [ Beyond - episodes called Ghost Hunters and EVPS both aired on Canada's Space Channel]. The San now sits vacant waiting for redevelopment. The ghosts sit quietly by waiting for the living to once again return. [Our second documentary called Haunted The Ghosts of Fort San, may shed some light on the identity of the Blue Man. KERROBERT COURT HOUSEAnother significant investigation we have done, our fourth time back to this place as it always has something interesting to offer is the Kerrobert Court House. Dawn Turner is always so hospitable and is our go to person for anything Kerrobert oriented. The court house is no longer in use as an official court house, it is now a museum and art gallery. An old, beautiful structure, the original wood and a huge at least 15 foot ceiling in the court room, it is a spectacular site to see. It always has some interesting paranormal significance to it, we have captured an entity on video, many orbs on video and unusual anomolies in our still pictures. We will always go back to this incredible old, well kept building. We use it as some training for others that want to learn about the paranormal and investigations. Sometimes you get what you came for, sometimes it remains quiet and eerie.
We have gone to many locations across Saskatchewan. The ones on this page are some of our favs, the other one is the Weyburn Mental Assylum which has been torn down, I will put some pics and info soon on that haunted historicsite.
